Body Composition Fitness (BCF) are a startup wellness service based in Cardiff focusing on clients from the corporate and further education sector.
Involved from a very early stage, I was asked to produce the UX for the promotional and account app areas of their website, alongside various printed and promotional items to support the launch of the business. Thanks to a recent promotion, I had the pleasure of creating an animated typographic video for use on social media.
Once my design concepts for the website were complete, they were passed over to Website Express, a Cardiff-based Drupal development agency.
The top menu is simple, targetting bookings and the three box structure beneath the main image breaks down the body composition message and discusses the use of the service within a business environment. After the initial explanation, the user is then shown more details about the service process and the technology used to evaluate participants.
Above the pricing, the account area section illustrates the feedback system using fun icons and a simple colour scheme which is drawn from the logo. To finish, pricing details are transparently displayed and a simple contact form invites interactions from potential clients. As with all web UX work I do, this project was designed to work across all devices in a smooth manner, without sacrificing any information on smaller screen sizes.
Below is the design for the account area of the website. This also formed the basis of the web-based phone app. The progress section shows the week-by-week change of the participant is a clear, simple and branded way.
To support the launch of the brand, I was asked to design some printed marketing materials for events and other promotional opportunities. The materials needed were a pull-up banner, DL flyer, business card and a poster design which could be adapted quickly and easily for specific locations/markets.
In the runup to Christmas 2018 the BCF team decided to run a challenge competition with a prize of £2000 going to the person who showed the most improvement over a three month period.
